About Us

At Belong at Home Newcastle-under-Lyme, we provide care and support to people in their own homes across Newcastle and the surrounding areas of Staffordshire. We believe that staying at home, surrounded by familiar faces and places, makes a real difference to how people feel day to day, and our work is built around making that possible.

We support a wide range of people, including older adults, younger adults, and individuals living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. Every person we work with has their own story, their own routines, and their own way of doing things, and we take the time to understand that properly before we do anything else. Care that fits around someone's life tends to work far better than care that asks people to fit around it.

Our team is trained to a high standard and we work hard to make sure that the people who visit you are consistent, reliable, and genuinely interested in your wellbeing. We know how much it matters to feel comfortable with the people coming into your home, and we do not take that lightly.

We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in to getting things right. That said, we are always looking at how we can do better and we welcome honest feedback from the people we support and their families.

If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone close to you, we are always happy to have an initial conversation with no pressure and no obligation. Getting the right support in place can take a little time to work out, and we are here to help with that process from the very beginning.

More about the care at Belong at Home Newcastle-under-Lyme

What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.

Mental Health

Adults living with longer term mental health conditions often benefit most from steady routines, respectful communication and carers who arrive when they say they will. Belong at Home is registered to support people with mental health needs in their own homes across Staffordshire. Sensible questions to put to the office include how carers are matched, what mental health experience the visiting team holds, and how the service responds if someone is unwell or in crisis between planned visits.

Visual / Hearing Impairment

Sight and hearing loss shape almost every part of a home care visit, from how a carer announces themselves at the door to how medication is explained. Belong at Home is registered to support people with visual or hearing impairments in their own homes. Families should ask whether carers are comfortable using clear face on communication, written notes or basic signing, and how the service ensures important information is not missed when someone cannot easily see labels or hear the doorbell.

Younger Adults

Adults under 65 receiving home care often want support that fits around work, study, family life or hobbies rather than a routine designed for much older clients. Belong at Home is registered to work with younger adults as well as older people across Newcastle and Staffordshire. Worth asking is how visits are scheduled around a working week, how carers are matched to a younger person's interests, and how the service supports goals like getting out locally or maintaining independence at home.
