About Us
Here at Bluebird Care South Tyneside, Newcastle and Darlington, we provide home care to people across the region from our base in Boldon Colliery. We work with a wide range of individuals, including older people, younger adults, those living with dementia, people with learning disabilities or autism, those experiencing mental health difficulties, and people with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments.
We know that being supported in your own home makes an enormous difference. It means familiar surroundings, your own routines, your own front door. Our role is to make that possible in a way that feels right for each person, not just ticking a box but genuinely understanding what matters to them day to day.
We are proud to hold an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. That rating reflects the work of our whole team and the trust that the people we support, and their families, place in us. It is not something we take for granted. We keep it front of mind because it tells us we are on the right track, and it reminds us of what is at stake if we ever become complacent.
Our team works across South Tyneside, Newcastle and Darlington, which means we have a real understanding of the communities we serve. Whether someone needs a short visit each day or more complex ongoing support, we take time at the outset to understand what that person needs and what their life looks like, so that care fits around them rather than the other way around.
If you are thinking about care at home for yourself or someone you love, we would welcome the chance to have a conversation. There is no pressure, just an honest chat about how we might be able to help.
