About Privilege Care

Privilege Care provides care and support to people in their own homes across Slough. The name reflects how we see the work. Being asked into somebody's home at a difficult point in their life is not a transaction, and we try to behave accordingly. Most of the people we visit are older adults. We help with washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals and the everyday tasks that have quietly become harder. We support people living with dementia, and continuity matters enormously there, so we work hard to send the same carers to the same households rather than whoever happens to be free. We also support adults living with a physical disability, helping with mobility, transfers and the practical arrangements that keep a home workable, and younger adults who want support that fits around their own commitments. We agree each plan with the person at the start, write it down together and review it as things change. Some households want one short visit a day, others need several calls, and needs often shift after a hospital stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are pleased with that and treat it as the standard we are expected to keep meeting. If you are considering care at home in Slough, please get in touch. We are glad to visit and talk it through with you honestly.
