We are Fernways, and we support adults in their own homes in Ilford and across the London borough of Redbridge. Our visits run from one short call a day through to several hours of support, and we plan them around the person's day rather than around our rota. Much of our work is with people living with dementia, and there our approach is simple to describe and hard to do well: keep the same familiar care workers visiting the same households, arrive at predictable times, and never rush somebody who needs longer.
