About Us
Havesters Care provides care at home for people across Portsmouth. Those we support include older people, adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults.
The promise in home care is easy to make and hard to keep, which is why we plan conservatively. Rotas are built around genuine travel times rather than optimistic ones, and if we cannot cover an area or a particular time reliably we say so rather than committing and disappointing somebody at seven in the morning.
Everything else follows from continuity. When the same few care workers visit a household over months, they know what that person is like ordinarily, which is the only dependable way to notice a change early. It also spares people from explaining themselves to a stranger every few days, which has more to do with dignity than with efficiency.
Support covers personal care, medicines, meals, mobility, help getting out and the practical business of keeping a home going, from one call a day to substantial packages where needs are greater.
