About Us
Adada Care in Portsmouth is a home care agency supporting adults in their own homes across the city.
The people we work with are a broad mix: older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment, and people managing a mental health condition. That range means there is no single way of working, and we plan each person's support individually.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. We prefer to say that openly and ask families to judge us on the practical measures: whether we arrive when we said, whether the same care workers keep coming back, and whether somebody who knows the situation answers the phone when something goes wrong.
Support is agreed with the individual and with anyone they want involved, written in plain words and revisited as circumstances change. Where somebody communicates without speech, we learn how they do it.
