About Needmet Care
Needmet Care provides support at home for older people and younger adults living in Peterborough and the surrounding area. Our purpose is straightforward: to make staying at home safe and manageable for as long as somebody wants it. Our carers help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and the everyday household tasks that often become the first real difficulty. For younger adults the emphasis is usually different, with support arranged around work, study and a social life and offered in a way that backs somebody up without taking over their decisions. We ask every person what they want help with and, just as importantly, what they would rather do themselves. Reliability is what we take most seriously. Being late is no small matter when somebody is waiting to get up or to take medication, so we plan our rounds carefully and let people know if anything has to change. We also aim to send familiar carers, since somebody who knows a person will notice what a stranger would miss. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we prefer to say so at the outset.
