About Us
Total Health Care Solutions provides support to people in their own homes in Retford and the surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people who live with mental health conditions.
Every arrangement we make starts with a proper conversation rather than a form. We want to understand how somebody's day runs now, what has become hard, what they can still do without any help at all, and what they would like to change. From there we agree what support will happen and when, we write it down in plain terms, and we review it as needs shift.
The work itself covers a lot of ground. It may be help to get up, wash and dress, prompting or assisting with medication, cooking meals and encouraging somebody to eat and drink well, help to move about safely, laundry and shopping, or support to keep appointments, manage a household and stay in touch with family. For people living with dementia, sending the same carers at the same times matters more than anything clever we could devise.
We train our carers for the needs they will actually meet, we supervise them properly, and we give them somebody experienced to ring when they are unsure. Families can always reach a member of the team who knows the situation.
