About Us

At St Margarets Homecare in Selby, we provide care and support to people in their own homes across York and the surrounding areas of North Yorkshire. We believe that remaining at home, in familiar surroundings, makes a real difference to how people feel day to day, and our work is built around making that possible for the people we support.

We specialise in older person care, dementia care, home care and support for people living with physical disabilities. Each person we work with has their own story, their own routines and their own preferences, and we take the time to understand what matters most to them before anything else. Care planning is done with individuals and their families, not just for them, so that what we put in place genuinely reflects the life someone wants to live.

Our team works hard to build consistent, trusting relationships with the people they visit. Familiarity and continuity matter enormously, particularly for those living with dementia, and we do our best to ensure people see familiar faces rather than a constant stream of different carers.

We are proud to hold a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the commitment our team brings to their work every day.
