About Us

Ellie Sunrise Healthcare supports people in their own homes across Harrogate and the surrounding part of North Yorkshire.

Our visits cover the practical work that lets someone stay where they want to be. Help with washing and dressing, medication given properly and on time, meals cooked, the house kept in order, shopping done and support to get out to appointments or into the fresh air. How often we come and how long we stay should follow what a person actually needs rather than what is easy to schedule.

Most of the people we visit are older, and many are living with dementia. Consistency is what we put our effort into there, because a carer who knows a household can tell within a minute how someone is today and adjust without making anything of it. We also support adults living with a physical disability, where equipment, layout and mobility usually decide how much someone can manage themselves, and we work with younger adults whose support has to sit alongside work, study and friends.

We cover a good deal of ground, including villages well outside the town, so travel goes into the rota rather than coming out of anyone's visit.
