About Us

Quality First Care supports people in their own homes across Whitley Bay and the North Tyneside area. We visit older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions.

Our purpose is to make staying at home workable for longer, which for the great majority of the people we visit is what they want. The support might be a short morning call to help someone get up safely, or several longer visits across the day covering personal care, medication, meals and company. We find out which is genuinely needed by asking, and we arrange that, rather than fitting people into whatever we already run.

Reliability is the part we take most seriously. A person waiting to be helped out of bed cannot usefully do anything else in the meantime, so we plan our rotas so that visits arrive when we said they would, and we keep the same carers with the same people wherever we can.

Care plans are written in plain language, agreed with the person, and revised when their circumstances change rather than on a fixed cycle.

If you would like to discuss support at home for yourself or a relative, please contact us and we will come out and talk it over.
