About Consummate Care

Consummate Care supports adults in their own homes in Kettering and the surrounding part of Northamptonshire. We work with older people and younger adults, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people who have sight or hearing loss. We also support people with eating disorders, where patience and consistency matter more than anything else we could offer. Our visits cover personal care, medicines, meals, the household, shopping and getting out and about, arranged around the person's day rather than around a rota. For younger adults it is often about building the practical skills independent living asks for, and there we count it a success when we are needed less as time goes on. We plan support with the person, in their own words, and we keep the visiting team small so that faces stay familiar. Where somebody communicates differently or has sight or hearing loss, we learn how they prefer to be approached rather than expecting them to adapt to us. We revisit the plan whenever circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that, and aware that it describes a particular moment rather than a permanent state, so we keep asking the people we support and their families whether the everyday things are still being done properly.
