About Us

Here at North East Lincolnshire Council Short Break Services, we provide home care support to people living in Grimsby and the surrounding areas of North East Lincolnshire. Our work focuses on enabling people to live comfortably and as independently as possible within their own homes and communities, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We understand that every person we support has their own routines, preferences and goals, so we work closely with individuals and their families to make sure the care we provide genuinely fits around their lives rather than the other way around.

Our team is experienced in delivering person centred support that respects dignity and promotes choice. Whether someone needs a little practical help day to day or more consistent hands on support, we aim to make every interaction feel natural and respectful. We are not here to take over; we are here to help people do more of what matters to them.

We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of Good across the service. That rating reflects the effort our staff put in every single day, and we continue to look for ways to improve and respond to the people we support.
