About Us

Florence Care and Consultancy provides care and support to people in their own homes in Morden and across Merton. We work with older people, younger adults and people with physical disabilities.

We will be straight with you about our rating. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us requires improvement overall. We are not going to present that as anything other than what it is. We accepted the findings, we have been working through them, and we would rather you heard it from us and put your questions to us directly.

The work itself is easy to describe and hard to do consistently. Turn up when we said we would, stay for the time agreed, know the person we are visiting, and do what they want done rather than what is convenient. Personal care, medication, meals, shopping, laundry, appointments and company all come into it, and so does noticing when something is wrong and telling somebody.

Support is agreed with each person in their own home, with family or an advocate involved where they wish, and reviewed when circumstances change rather than at arbitrary intervals. Where somebody has a physical disability we look closely at transfers, equipment and how the home is arranged.
