About Us

We are HFH Healthcare, based in Merton and providing care to people in their own homes.

Home care is what we do, and we have deliberately kept our focus there rather than spreading into everything else. It means the people who work for us become genuinely practised at this work, and it means we can be straightforward with families about when a different kind of provision would suit somebody better.

Everything begins with a visit. We talk with the person, and with family if that is what they want, about what has become difficult and what would actually help. Some people need a short call each day. Others need a great deal more, including support that covers most of the day or a package shared between several carers.

The parts of home care that decide whether it works are mostly unspectacular. Turning up when we said we would. Staying for the agreed period. Sending a face the person recognises. Knowing how a particular household does things. We plan our rounds so those are realistic rather than promised and missed, and we keep the same carers with the same people wherever we can.
