About Everkind Support

Everkind Support is a home care agency working across Manchester and the wider conurbation, visiting people in their own homes. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with a physical disability. We start from what somebody wants to keep hold of. The answers are usually specific and modest: making their own breakfast, getting to the shops on a Saturday, managing the stairs, keeping the flat how they like it. Support that protects those things is worth having. Support that quietly takes them over is easier to deliver and much worse for the person, so we try to do as little as necessary and as much as needed. The practical work includes personal care, medication managed and recorded properly, meals cooked, help with the house, and support to move about safely indoors. For people with a physical disability we take the trouble to learn how that individual wants to be assisted with moving and transfers, because the right method is specific to the person and guessing causes pain and fear. Manchester traffic is what it is, so we plan rounds that can actually be achieved rather than ones that look impressive on paper. Being late is a failure, not an inconvenience. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are happy to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our carers, and to introduce you to whoever would be visiting you.

Home Care at Everkind Support

Manchester traffic is what it is, as this agency puts it, and it says it plans rounds that can actually be achieved rather than ones that look impressive on paper. Rates across the North West run indicatively from £25 to £30 an hour, a regional guide rather than the figure Everkind Support would quote. Because care at home is paid for by the visit, ask about the minimum call length, how many calls a day are realistic across the conurbation, and what travel means for timing. Manchester council may contribute after an assessment, usually at less than the private rate. Ask what lateness looks like in practice and who tells the household.

Older Person Care at Everkind Support

Everkind Support registered with the CQC on 27 August 2026, so there is no inspection rating to read yet. For older people the service it describes covers personal care, medication managed and recorded properly, meals cooked, help with the house and support to move about safely indoors. It says it tries to do as little as necessary and as much as needed, on the grounds that support which quietly takes over somebody's routine is easier to deliver and much worse for the person. Families should ask how a first assessment is done and who writes the plan. Ask as well what happens in the evening and overnight, and how a missed call is picked up, since nobody is on site.

Younger Adults at Everkind Support

What somebody wants to keep hold of is where this agency says it starts, and the answers it reports are specific: making their own breakfast, getting to the shops on a Saturday, managing the stairs. For an adult under 65 that framing matters more than age does. Ask how support fits around work or study, and how often the plan is revisited.

Physical Disability at Everkind Support

Guessing how somebody wants to be moved causes pain and fear, which is why this agency says it takes the trouble to learn each person's preferred method for moving and transfers. Equipment, rails and a bathroom that works matter as much as the carer does. Ask who assesses handling, how the agreed method is written down, and whether two carers can attend when a transfer needs them.
