About Us
We are the Serenity Community Hub, based in Grantham, and we provide care and support in people's own homes across this part of Lincolnshire. We support older people, including many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults.
A community hub is not just a name to us. A good deal of the harm we see comes from isolation rather than illness, and so alongside practical help we take seriously the business of keeping people connected: company, conversation, and support to get out to the places and people that matter to them.
Support is agreed with the person before it starts. We ask how the day runs now, what has become difficult, what they still want to manage themselves, and where a hand would genuinely help. That might mean help with washing and dressing, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and shared, help getting safely about the house, assistance with shopping and appointments, or support to get out into the community.
For people living with dementia, familiarity does more good than anything else, and for autistic people predictability is a need rather than a preference. Both point the same way: consistent staff and routines that hold.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk it through.
