About Us
Eleanor Nursing and Social Care works across the London borough of Lewisham, providing care and support in people's own homes. We visit older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.
We would rather tell you this ourselves. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us as requires improvement. We are not going to write around it. The findings were taken seriously, there is an improvement plan we are working through, and we would much prefer you heard it from us than found it elsewhere. What we are trying to do has not changed. Home care rests on being where we said we would be, at the time we said, doing the job properly when nobody is checking, and remembering that we are guests in somebody's home. The work covers personal care, medication, meals, mobility, household jobs, shopping, appointments and proper company, and for some of the people we support it looks quite different again.
Real improvement comes from listening to the people we visit and then acting on it rather than recording it. That is where our attention sits, and anybody is welcome to hold us to it.
