About Us
We are the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domiciliary Service, a home care agency supporting adults in their own homes in Clayton le Moors and across the surrounding parts of Lancashire. We work with older people and with younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss.
We cover both busy towns and a good deal of countryside, and that shapes how we plan. Distances are real and so is traffic, so we are honest at the outset about the areas we can serve well and the times we can genuinely commit to. A visit promised and missed does more harm than a visit never offered.
What we do is agreed with each person and written in plain terms: personal care, medication support, meals, household tasks, appointments, getting out and about, or simply reliable company for somebody who lives alone. We also provide cover for family carers who need a proper rest.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep auditing our visits, our records and our medication practice, because consistency in this work is easily lost and slow to rebuild.
If you are looking into care at home in this part of Lancashire, please get in touch and we will give you a straightforward answer about what we can offer.
