About Us

Mercy and Clara Healthcare provides care and support in people's own homes across the Knowsley area of Liverpool. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic people, people with physical disabilities or with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions.

We want to be honest about our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is requires improvement. We would rather raise it ourselves than leave you to find it. We understand what was identified, we have a plan of work in hand covering training and supervision for our staff, the accuracy of our records and how we keep families informed, and we are happy to go through that in detail with anyone considering us.

Meanwhile the work goes on and it has to be done properly. We help people wash and dress, manage medication safely, prepare food and make sure it is eaten, get out of the house, and keep a household running. We keep the same carers with the same people as far as the rota allows, because familiarity is what makes any of this bearable for the person receiving it.
