About The Care Collection

We are The Care Collection, based in Holmfirth and supporting people in their own homes across this part of Kirklees. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently. The area we cover includes a good deal of open country and some fairly scattered villages, so we plan rounds realistically rather than promising a schedule that falls apart in bad weather. For some of the people we visit, our carer may be the only person they see that day, and we do not treat that lightly. Support ranges from a short morning call to several visits covering personal care, medication, meals and help around the house. Wherever a person can still do something themselves, we support them to keep doing it rather than taking it over. We keep the same carers with the same households as far as the rota allows, train our staff for the work they actually do, and stay reachable when a family needs to speak to somebody.
