About Us
We provide care at home in Hull, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults.
Families usually come to us at an awkward moment, often after a fall or a hospital stay or a slow realisation that things are not working any more. Our first job at that point is to be clear rather than comforting. We say what we can provide, how often and at what cost, and we say plainly when what is being asked for is more than we can staff properly. An easy answer that falls apart in a month helps nobody.
After that the work is practical: washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, keeping a household in order. We aim it at what has genuinely become difficult and leave alone what the person would rather keep doing.
We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so directly than write around it. Families are welcome to ask how we recruit, train and check our carers, to meet the people who would be calling, and to form their own view from what they actually see week to week.
