About Us
Acer Healthcare provides care in people's own homes across Northwood, Ruislip and the surrounding parts of Hillingdon. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing has changed.
Care at home is at its best when it is quietly reliable. That means turning up when we said we would, sending people the household already knows, allowing enough time so that a visit is not a rush, and writing down what actually happened so the next person is not starting from scratch. We support people with washing and dressing, with medication, with meals, with shopping and housework and with getting out to appointments, and for many of the people we visit the company matters as much as the tasks.
We agree a plan with the person and with whoever they want involved, we put it in writing plainly, and we change it when their circumstances change rather than waiting for a scheduled review.
The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. We would rather be upfront about that than let anybody assume otherwise. In the meantime we are glad to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, how we handle medication and what we do when something goes wrong.
