About Us

Look Ahead Domiciliary Care in Hertfordshire supports people in their own homes in and around Stevenage. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, people living with a physical disability, those with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently.

Our approach is to support people to run their own lives rather than to run their lives for them. We ask what somebody wants their week to look like, what they manage well themselves and where help would make a real difference, then we build support around those answers. For some people that means assistance with personal care, medication, meals and household tasks. For others it means help to get out to work, college, clubs or family, or support to build skills around cooking, shopping and managing money.

We adapt how we communicate to suit the person, which matters particularly where a sensory impairment is part of the picture, and we take time to learn what helps someone feel settled and what causes them stress.

Keeping teams small matters here, so we send staff who know the person and who are trained for the particular support they provide.
