About Us
Bluebird Care Stevenage and North Herts supports people in their own homes across Hitchin, Stevenage and the surrounding parts of Hertfordshire. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people living with a visual or hearing impairment. We also support younger adults.
With that spread of needs there is no standard package, and we do not pretend to offer one. Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation about how someone likes their day to run, what they manage well themselves and where support would genuinely help. From that we agree a written plan in plain language, and we revisit it as things change.
Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company, from a short daily call to support across the whole day. For people with a sensory impairment we make sure conversation and information actually reach them, and for those living with dementia we keep faces and routines as familiar as we can.
Our carers are trained for the particular needs in front of them and are properly supervised, and families can always reach someone.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk things through.
