About Huldra Recruitment
We are Huldra Recruitment, providing care and support to adults in their own homes in Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding part of Hertfordshire. Our work is with adults who have learning disabilities and autistic adults, with people living with mental health conditions, and with younger adults who want help to live independently. The point of what we do is not to take charge of somebody's life but to make the life they want workable, so we begin with what a person wants their week to look like and work back to the support that would make it possible. In practice that might mean help with personal care, medication, cooking, shopping, managing money and appointments, or support to get to work, college, a gym or a regular group. Where change is difficult for somebody, we keep to a predictable routine and prepare properly for anything out of the ordinary. We also take positive risk seriously. Being cautious on somebody else's behalf is easier for us and usually much worse for them. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Until we have, please ask us detailed questions about staffing, training, supervision and how we plan support.
