About Us

Wholehearted Home Care supports people in their own homes in Buntingford and the surrounding parts of Hertfordshire. We visit older people, adults living with dementia and younger adults who need help to manage daily life. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. We think home care works when it is built around the person rather than sold as a package. So we start by visiting, listening and asking practical questions. What is hard at the moment? What has already been tried? What does the person still want to do without help? From there we agree a plan in plain language and we review it whenever things change. Visits might cover washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, laundry or simply having someone to talk to. For people living with dementia we keep the rota as steady as we can and make sure our carers know the person's history, because familiarity does more good than anything else we could offer. We keep rounds local so people see the same faces, and we introduce new carers properly rather than sending a stranger unannounced. Staff are trained before working alone and supported by senior colleagues who visit, supervise and review.
