About GO Care
GO Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Haringey and the surrounding part of London. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our experience covers dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and sight and hearing loss. We begin with a visit at home. What we want to understand is how the household actually works, who is already helping, what the person manages perfectly well without us and where help would make a real difference. The plan comes out of that conversation and belongs to the person to change. Support may be a single daily call for personal care and medication, several visits covering meals, housework, shopping and company, or longer stretches for somebody who should not be alone. In a busy part of London continuity takes real planning, so we keep rounds tight enough that the same carers can return to the same people rather than whoever happens to be free. Many of the households we work in use more than one language, and we match carers accordingly where we can, because being cared for in the language you think in is not a small thing. Our carers are checked, trained and supervised. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
