About Us

The Health Care Group provides care at home for people in Havant and the surrounding parts of Hampshire. Our visits range from a short call to start the day through to several each day and longer periods of support, and the pattern is agreed with the person rather than handed to them.

For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see friends. We also keep an eye on the wider picture, raising a fading appetite or new unsteadiness early rather than leaving a family to find out later.

For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home somebody knows by heart. We support adults with mental health needs, where reliability and an absence of judgement do most of the good, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely. Where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are and what we are doing. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments.

Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we would rather turn work away than take on something we cannot do properly. Please ring us to talk it through.
