About Us
We are Lastminute Care and Nursing, a home care provider working in Basingstoke and across Hampshire. We support older people, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults in their own homes. Our visits cover personal care, help with medication, meals and the ordinary tasks that become difficult, and the shape of the support depends entirely on what the person actually needs from us. We spend proper time on the first assessment, because the things that make home care succeed are small, specific and rarely written on a referral form. Which side of the bed someone gets out of. Which jobs they want to keep doing alone even when it takes longer. What time the day really needs to begin. Who to contact when something changes. Where sight or hearing is poor we make sure our communication genuinely works instead of assuming it does. We keep the same carers visiting the same people wherever the rota allows, because turning up reliably is what builds trust in this work. Senior staff are contactable when a visit throws up something that needs a proper decision. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we welcome direct questions from anyone weighing us up.
