About Gateway Care

We are Gateway Care, based in Hackney and supporting people in their own homes across the borough. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and younger adults who need support to live independently. Nothing begins with a brochure. It begins with a visit and an honest conversation about what has become difficult, what is still manageable and what would genuinely make a difference. From that we agree a plan together, which might be a single morning call or several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and the running of a household. Hackney is a mixed and busy borough and the households we visit reflect that. We take time to understand how a particular family does things and how they would like us to fit around their household. We protect continuity rather than merely hoping for it. Sending the same carers to the same people is better care, and it is what allows somebody to relax enough to accept help with the more personal things. Our carers are trained for the work they do and supervised properly, and we liaise with GPs, district nurses and social workers. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please ring us to discuss care at home.
