About Us
We are a home care agency in Gateshead, supporting people in their own homes. Our work is with younger adults, with people who have a physical disability, and with people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. A good deal of what we do is complex and long running rather than a short round of calls, and it often involves working alongside family, education and health professionals rather than in isolation. That shapes how we operate. We expect to be one part of an arrangement rather than the whole of it, and we expect to coordinate properly. Notes that other people can actually use. Turning up to meetings. Saying what we have observed rather than waiting to be asked. Where a young adult is moving from children's arrangements into adult ones, that transition is usually where things fall apart, and we try to be the thing that holds steady through it.
