About The Grove
The Grove provides support to adults in their own homes in Enfield and the surrounding part of London. We work with older people and younger adults, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Our work rests on the idea that it is the person's home and the person's life, and that our role is to make that workable while leaving as much as possible in their hands. That means help with personal care and medicines where it is needed, and a good deal of time spent on the skills and routines independent living asks for: cooking, shopping, managing money, keeping up with letters and appointments, using transport, and dealing with whatever goes wrong in a household. It also means support to have a life. Seeing family and friends, getting to work, college, groups or activities, and making the ordinary decisions other adults make without thinking. For people with mental health needs, and for people recovering from alcohol or drug misuse, the most useful things we bring are reliability, patience and an absence of judgement, along with noticing early when somebody seems less well than they were. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask the people we support whether we are getting it right, and we act when the answer is no.
