About Us

We at Care at Home Services (South East) – Margaret House are proud to provide compassionate home care across Uckfield and the surrounding communities of East Sussex. As a dedicated domiciliary care provider, we bring professional support directly into the homes of those who wish to remain comfortable, independent, and connected to the lives they love.

Operating from our base in Uckfield within the TN postcode area, we are ideally placed to support individuals and families throughout this welcoming corner of East Sussex. Rather than asking our clients to adapt to an unfamiliar environment, we come to them, delivering care within the familiar surroundings of their own homes, where memories live and routines bring reassurance. This approach allows people to maintain the rhythms of daily life whilst receiving the practical and emotional support they need.

Our care is shaped around the individual. We offer specialised support for older people, including those living with dementia, where consistency, patience, and a gentle approach can make an enormous difference to wellbeing. For clients experiencing mental health challenges, we provide thoughtful, respectful care that promotes dignity and stability. We also support adults with physical disabilities, as well as those living with visual or hearing impairments, tailoring our communication and assistance to suit each person's unique circumstances. Younger adults receiving care from us benefit from a programme designed to encourage independence, choice, and active participation in their own lives.

In practice, this means our care team works closely with each client and their loved ones to build a personalised plan that reflects preferences, routines, and aspirations. Whether the need is for help with personal care, medication support, companionship, meal preparation, or more complex care needs, we approach every visit with warmth and professionalism. Families can take comfort in knowing that the people supporting their relative are not strangers passing through but familiar, trusted faces who genuinely care.

We are proud to hold an overall rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, with Good ratings across all five inspection domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This independent recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering care that meets high national standards, and it offers reassurance to families that the support their loved one receives is grounded in safety, kindness, and accountability.

Choosing care for someone you love is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we understand the weight of that choice. If you are exploring home care options in Uckfield or the wider East Sussex area, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Our team is here to listen, to answer your questions, and to help you find the right path forward with confidence and peace of mind.
