About Us
Downlands Court is a home care agency in Peacehaven, supporting adults in their own homes across this part of East Sussex.
We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment and people managing a mental health condition. Calls range from a short morning visit through to several a day, covering personal care, medication, meals, help to move about the home safely, shopping, appointments and company.
Continuity is where we put most of our planning effort. Sending whoever happens to be nearest is easier to arrange and produces a procession of strangers arriving at the most personal moments of somebody's day. Building a small regular team around each person takes more work, and it means the person at the door knows the household and knows what the person is normally like.
Support is agreed with the individual and with anyone they want involved, written in plain language and revisited as circumstances change.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
If you are arranging care at home locally, please get in touch and we will come out and talk it over.
