About Us
The William and Patrica Venton Centre supports people living in and around Eastbourne, East Sussex, in their own homes. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, and with people managing mental health conditions.
Home care is at its best when it is quiet and unremarkable. Someone arrives at the time they said, helps with what needs doing, has a proper conversation rather than a rushed one, and leaves the person better set up for the rest of the day. Very little of that is complicated. Most of it is a matter of organisation, decent staff and taking the time to find out how each person wants things done.
We support people with personal care, with medication, with meals, and with the practical things that make it possible to stay at home and stay connected to the people and places that matter. For people living with dementia, and for those living with mental ill health, continuity of carer is particularly important to us, because trust is built slowly and lost quickly.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are glad to talk through options with families who are still weighing things up.
