About Us
SureCare Eastbourne supports people in their own homes across Eastbourne and the surrounding parts of East Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities or sight and hearing loss, and with people managing mental health conditions.
Support at home covers everything from a short call to help someone wash, dress and take their medication, through to several visits a day with meals, shopping, housework and company. For some families we are there so that a relative who has been doing everything can go to work, sleep properly, or simply have an afternoon to themselves.
We plan care with the person rather than for them. That means asking what a good morning actually looks like, at what time and in what order, and then sending carers who know the answer. We keep the team around each household as small as we sensibly can, because being helped to wash by someone you know is a different experience entirely.
Eastbourne has a large population of older residents and we are conscious that many people are managing alone. Our carers are asked to notice things, not simply to complete tasks, and to raise any concern with us the same day.
