About Us
Morecare supports adults in their own homes across Crowborough and the surrounding parts of East Sussex.
The people we visit are a varied group. Older people and those living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental health needs, adults with a physical disability and younger adults building a life of their own. We also support people living with an eating disorder, working calmly and without confrontation and alongside the specialist health teams involved rather than in parallel to them.
We plan individually because that range makes a standard package close to meaningless. We ask how someone's day works now, what they still manage, what has become difficult and what they would rather we left alone in their own home.
Consistency is what we protect hardest. Support is a relationship as much as a list of tasks, and a familiar carer notices changes early and adapts without making anything of them. For people living with dementia that is the whole basis of a visit going well. For those living with mental health needs we watch for early shifts rather than waiting for a crisis.
This is a fairly rural area, so travel goes into the rota rather than coming out of anyone's time.
