About Us
We are Support for Living, a home care agency working across Ealing and the surrounding parts of London. We provide care and support to adults in their own homes.
Much of our work is with adults who have learning disabilities or are autistic, and with people living with mental health conditions. We also support older people and people with physical disabilities. What the people we work with tend to have in common is a wish for an ordinary life, with the same choices about how to spend time and who to spend it with as anybody else, and support that makes that possible instead of taking it over.
So we begin with the life someone wants and work back to the help needed. That might be personal care, support with medication, cooking, managing money and appointments, or getting to work, college or a regular group. Where somebody finds change difficult, we keep to a predictable routine and prepare properly for anything unusual.
We also take sensible risk seriously. It is far easier for us to be cautious on somebody else's behalf, and it is usually much worse for them, so we talk decisions through with the person and those who know them best.
