About Us

Home Instead North Devon and Exmoor supports people in their own homes across South Molton and the wider stretch of North Devon and Exmoor. So we treat it as a standard to hold rather than something to advertise. Our work is mainly with older adults, many of them living with dementia. This is a genuinely rural patch, with scattered villages, slow lanes and houses that are hard to reach in winter. We plan rounds around that rather than pretending otherwise. A good number of the people we visit live some distance from their nearest neighbour, which means our knock may be the only one that day, and we build enough time into a visit that nobody has to be hurried through a wash or a conversation. Visits cover washing and dressing, medicines, meals, shopping, housework, appointments and company, and we keep the same workers going to the same households.
