About HF Trust

We are HF Trust in Devon, based in South Molton and providing support to people in their own homes across the area. We work with older people, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and younger adults who want to live in their own place with the right backing. Much of our work is about enabling rather than doing. Where somebody wants to cook for themselves, manage their own money, keep a tenancy going, use public transport or hold down a job or a course, we work at it with them patiently and at their pace. We do not decide in advance what is beyond anybody, and we do not treat a difficult stretch as proof that something was unrealistic. Working across a rural part of Devon means being honest about distance. We plan support around real travel times rather than promising a schedule that falls apart, and for people living some way from the nearest town our worker may be the main contact of the day. Communication is the foundation of the work. We learn how each person tells us what they want, in whatever form that takes, and we make sure every worker understands it before supporting that person alone.
