About Us

At Time 2 Care South West, we provide home care to people living in Bideford and across the surrounding area of Devon, supporting individuals to remain in their own homes with the help and reassurance they need.

We work with older people, those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and individuals with visual or hearing impairments. Every person we support has different needs and different priorities, so we take time to understand what matters most to each individual before we put anything in place. Care should fit around someone's life, not the other way around.

Our team visits people in their own homes, which means the people we support get to stay in familiar surroundings, keep their routines, and hold on to their independence in a way that suits them. For many of the people we work with, that familiarity makes an enormous difference, particularly for those living with dementia, where consistency and comfort are so important.

We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. That reflects the effort our team puts in every day, and we think it gives families and those looking for care some genuine reassurance when they are making what can be quite a difficult decision.

We know that inviting someone into your home, or supporting a family member to do so, takes trust. We do not take that lightly. We aim to be straightforward, reliable and honest in everything we do, and we keep communication open so that people always know what is happening and feel confident in the support they are receiving.

If you would like to find out more about how we might be able to help you or someone you care about, please do get in touch. We are always happy to have a conversation.

More about the care at Time 2 Care (South West) Ltd

What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.

Older Person Care

Reassurance is often as valuable as practical help, and the agency's own text puts the two together. Time 2 Care (South West) is registered for older person care, covering personal care, medication prompts and company at home. Because care is bought in hours, the shape of the rota decides what is realistic. Ask how long each visit lasts, how many carers would attend over a month, and whether times are dependable. Ask what evening cover exists and what happens if a carer cannot get in. Rates across the South West commonly run from £28 to £33 an hour, so ask about travel and weekend charges.

Dementia

Living with dementia at home depends on the surroundings staying constant and the help staying predictable. Time 2 Care (South West) includes dementia care in its registration alongside support for older people. Continuity is where most packages succeed or fail. Ask how many carers would cover a week and whether they arrive at the same times. Ask what guidance staff are given on distress, repeated questions and refused personal care. Ask too how the agency raises the point at which visits are no longer enough.

Physical Disability

A hoist in the wrong room helps nobody. Physical disability is named in what Time 2 Care (South West) is registered to provide. Council occupational therapy can assess for equipment and adaptations, which often matters more than extra hours. Ask whether carers are trained on what is already in the house and how two carer visits are arranged.

Visual / Hearing Impairment

Good light and clear speech cost nothing and help enormously. Visual and hearing impairment are both named in the registration at Time 2 Care (South West). Carers need habits as much as training, including facing a person to speak and checking that aids are switched on. Ask how staff are briefed on sensory loss and who arranges optician or audiology visits.
