About Chapel & District Bespoke Care

Chapel and District Bespoke Care supports people in their own homes across the High Peak, in Derbyshire. Our work covers a wide range. Most of it is with older adults, a good number living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing, and people living with an eating disorder. Working in the High Peak has its own character. Villages are scattered, lanes are slow, and in winter some of the houses we visit are genuinely hard to reach. We plan rounds around that rather than pretending otherwise, because a visit promised and not delivered is worse than one honestly scheduled for later. A fair number of the people we see live some distance from their nearest neighbour, which means our knock may be the only one that day. We treat that as part of the job rather than a nicety. Visits cover washing and dressing, medicines, meals, shopping, housework, appointments and company, and we try hard to keep the same workers going to the same households. We have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no rating to offer. Ring us and we will come out and talk it through.
