About Us
Whites Community Care is a home care agency based in Belper, supporting people in their own homes across this part of Derbyshire.
We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. What happens on a visit depends entirely on the person. It might be help to wash, dress and get the day started, support with medication, a hand with meals, help to move safely around the house, or going along to an appointment somebody would struggle to manage alone.
Working in a smaller town gives us an advantage we try not to waste. Distances are short, our care workers know the roads and the shops and often the families, and it is realistic for the same few people to visit the same person week after week. Continuity is the single thing that makes home care feel like care rather than a rota arriving at the door.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet received an overall rating. We will not pretend otherwise, and we would encourage anyone considering us to ask for references and to meet the manager before making a decision.
