About Walton Out Care
We are Walton Out Care, a home care agency in Derby. We support people in their own homes across the city, working with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment. The people we visit want the same thing for quite different reasons, which is to stay in the home they already have. What makes that possible differs enormously, so we start with the person rather than with a list of what we provide, and the visits follow from there. Continuity is where most of our effort goes. The same carers attending the same households is harder to organise than people assume and it improves care more than anything else we could do. A carer who knows somebody spots a change early, and early notice is often what stops a small difficulty turning into a crisis. We keep families informed, work with other professionals involved, and review arrangements as needs move on. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
