About Lone Care Services

Lone Care is a home care agency in Croydon, supporting people in their own homes across the borough. Our work is for people who need help with daily life but have no wish to leave a home they have spent years making their own. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairment. A visit may involve personal care, support with medication, preparing meals, help with mobility and moving safely about the home, household tasks and shopping, company, or support to get out to appointments and to see people. Some clients need one short call a day and others need support several times over. Where someone is living with dementia, a familiar face at the door does more good than any explanation, so we work hard to keep the same carers visiting the same people and to keep routines steady. For clients with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and take care that nothing in the home is moved or changed without being told. We assess with the person and anyone they want involved, write down what has been agreed and review it when circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and the better test is what our clients in Croydon tell us directly.
