Invicta 24 Plus is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Croydon and the surrounding parts of London. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability. We also support younger adults who need help to live independently. Because the people we visit are so different from one another, we plan each arrangement individually. We start by meeting the person, and their family if they want that, and asking how they like their day to run, what they manage well themselves and where support would make a real difference. That conversation becomes a written plan in plain language, reviewed as circumstances change. Support can be a short daily call or a much larger package covering personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company. Where needs are substantial we plan carefully, train our carers for the specific tasks involved and work alongside district nurses, therapists and hospital teams so that everyone is pulling in the same direction. We keep the team around each person small, because people should not have to explain themselves afresh every week, and we make sure families can always reach someone.
