About Live Life Well

Live Life Well provides care at home for people living in Chester and across Cheshire West and Chester. Our name is a plain statement of what we are trying to achieve, which is that support should widen what somebody can do rather than narrow it. We visit older people who need help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and getting out of the house, and we support people living with dementia, where a familiar carer arriving at a familiar hour does more good than any amount of paperwork. We work with adults who have a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment, adults with a learning disability or autism, younger adults, and people managing mental ill health. Each of those calls for a different approach, and we would rather admit that than pretend one way of working suits everyone. Care starts with a proper assessment in the person's own home, with family involved if that is wanted. We agree what we will do, when we will do it and what we will leave well alone, and we write it down clearly. If the plan stops fitting, we change it. We keep continuity of carers as far as we possibly can, and we are straight with people when illness or holidays make that difficult.
