We also support younger adults, people with a physical disability, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. We begin with a conversation rather than a form. What can you still do for yourself. What has become difficult. What would you rather we left alone. From that we agree a plan, write it in plain language, and change it when things change, because they usually do. We think the length of a visit matters more than most agencies admit. A rushed call is not a cheaper version of a proper one, it is a different and much less useful thing. Somebody hurried through a wash, handed a sandwich and left to it has been processed rather than helped. So we plan visits with enough time to do the job without anybody being chivvied along. Where dementia is involved we take our lead from the family, who already know which words work and which part of the day is difficult. We have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no rating to show you. Ring us and judge us on the visit.
