About Ablewell Care

Ablewell Care is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Macclesfield and the surrounding parts of Cheshire East. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, people living with a visual or hearing impairment, and adults working through problems with alcohol or drugs. We also support younger adults. Because the people we visit are so different from one another, we plan every arrangement individually. We start by meeting the person, and their family if they want that, and asking how they like their day to run, what they manage well themselves and where support would make a real difference. That becomes a written plan in plain language, reviewed as circumstances change. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company. Where somebody is working through addiction or managing a mental health condition, we work alongside the professionals already involved so that what we do supports their plan. We do not judge and we do not lecture. We keep the team around each person small, train carers for the needs they will actually meet, and make sure families can always reach someone.
